Class Descriptions
All of our classes are taught based on the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga
method.
POWER VINYASA classes are energizing! Dynamic flow focuses on
integrating breath and movement, awareness and alignment & strength and flexibility. Class types detailed below:
All-levels : Everyone is welcome come do what you can. It's a practice to work into gradually and we'll suggest
modifications for all the poses. If you're interested in learning the poses in more detail, intro/alignment workshops are offered monthly.
Basics : Flow class with particular emphasis on the foundational postures and deepening the student's
knowledge of alignment. Great class for beginners or those new to vinyasa (flow-style) yoga.
Level 2 Flow : Deepen your yoga practice in this Vinyasa class. We will focus on cultivating strength and flexibility
through:
· Introducing new poses and variations, building on the basics
· Exploring and extending time in inversions
· Developing core strength and breathing as essential to
the practice
· Having fun while innovating our practice Modifications and
variations will always be offered: know and respect your body. Everyone is welcome, although yoga experience and consistent
practice is helpful!
Prenatal :
This class is perfect for expectant mothers who want to experience the pregnancy related benefits of yoga and/or continue safely
practicing yoga in the pre- and postnatal stages. Prenatal yoga
involves safe stretching and strength-building exercises that:
· Increase stamina, developing concentration for labor and delivery
· Foster deep mental preparedness for birth and smooth postnatal recovery
· Promote optimal health, serenity, fitness and activeness during pregnancy
· High-energy pregnancy workouts include modifications for each trimester as well as the postnatal stage to
ensure consistently safe and effective exercise. All students, both new and experienced, are welcome in this class.
