Dana

Dana was first exposed to hiking and other outdoor sports at a very young age. Those nurturing family vacations played a huge role in cultivating her appreciation for the great outdoors and its natural wonders. After becoming a graduate of NOLS, (National Outdoor Leadership School), she experienced a major turning point in her life. Without realizing it then, she had laid the ground work for much self-inquiry and self-discovery that would shape her journey years later. Now after living in Washington State for several years and exploring the fantastic landscapes found here, Dana has revisited NOLS, this time for their excellent Wilderness First Aid training and certification as a WFR (Wilderness First Responder). Dana is also a Samarya Center certified yoga instructor in the method of Ashtanga yoga.  She is a continuing student of IMT (Integrated Movement Therapy, developed by the Samarya Center) and is an avid yoga practitioner as well. Together, all of those components make her a well qualified individual to guide you on a safe and inspiring outdoor experience! Dana has just recently founded danayoga.com; a donation based yoga adventure company.
