Erica
Erica’s first experience with yoga taught her that, in addition to physical strength and flexibility, there was something deeper to be gained from its practice. Erica began practicing yoga in 2001 and quickly realized she would be a student of yoga for a long time. She received her 200 hour teacher training certification from the Ashtanga studio It’s Yoga in San Francisco in 2003 and began teaching right away. Erica also lived at the Integral Yoga Institute in San Francisco for six months where she learned their style of yoga as well as meditation. Realizing the dynamic connection between mind and body, Erica also took a two year intensive meditation program in San Francisco which aides her in helping her students quiet the mind and relax the body. Erica takes a holistic approach to yoga incorporating meditation, asanas, breath work and relaxation into her classes. Her motto is: Have fun in the body and be peaceful in the mind.
