Russ began a home Yoga practice as a way to improve health and manage MS symptoms. Finding a natural connection created a steady practice and soon hope that he could do something to improve his health even with some severe MS symptoms. Feeling he could have some control again he started going to some classes at a local studio. Finding teachers that showed compassion and patience helped him explore more of what Yoga can offer. Losing 70 lbs, gaining control over the MS symptoms though Yoga and a Yogic diet, the hope of health is now a reality.

Finding a home at Flow Yoga under Anna and Georgina, the practice began deepen, enriching his quality of life both on and off the mat. A safe and fun environment where it is OK to be just where you are and grow from there.

Grateful and wanting to share this gift with others, he began Teacher training through Yoga Center , an alignment based Yoga studio and is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level. Continuing training in Baptiste, Anusura, Viniyoga and Ashtanga styles have influenced his teaching style and love of Yoga.

What matters most is that Yoga is for everyone and everyone can benefit from the very first breath they take on the mat. Just show up, open your heart and see what happens!
